This is a Mail Oder pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5917.  The pattern was included in the Anne Cabot 1949 Needlework Album, the  Anne Cabot 1955 Needlework Album as well as the Anne Cabot 1956 Needlework Alum.  

MATERIALS:  2 - 300 yd ball white mercerized crochet and knitting cotton. 2 - 200 yd ball red will make 2 potholders; Steel crochet hook No. 8 (Standard Size).
