Crocheted Potholders:  This pattern contains directions for two potholders. Crochet either a rose or a pansy in heavy Rug Cotton or Candlewick or four strands of Crochet and Knitting Cotton.  When completed the Pansy potholder will measure 6 x 7 inches and the rose potholders are 6 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler in 1946.  This was a quite popular pattern, running a couple times a year for six consecutive years.
