Crochet Pouch Handbag Purse Pattern

Crocheted Purse:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the handbag pictured.   This 'most interesting' design, vintage 1940s.   It's a square shape, with a flat bottom and sides that fold over creating a pouch effect, with small strap handle.   The bag is lined.  This is a beginner easy project in Pearl Cotton.  

Materials:  J. & P. COATS OR CLARK'S O. .T. PEARL COTTON, Size 5; 14 balls of Spanish Red ... Bone Crochet Hook No.5m; Plastic ring, 1 1/2inches in diameter; 1/2yard of red felt ; 1/2yard of red grosgrain ribbon, 1/4 inches wide.  Use. 3 threads throughout.
