Crochet Rug Pattern, Star Square Design 1545

Crocheted Rug and Pillow:  The crocheted rug with its matching pillow are made of four strands of string worked together or it can be made of rug yarn or rags. The pillow is made of a single strand of string. A variety of color suggestions are included in the pattern. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1545 in 1937. 

CROCHETED COTTON RUG – (Approximately 36 x 54 Inches) 24 (300 yard) balls of black and 7 balls of orange crochet and knitting cotton and a No. 00 steel crochet hook.

CROCHETED WOOL RUG - (Approximately 39 x 52 Inches)  46 (17 yard) skeins of black and 38 skeins of orange rug yarn and a No. G steel crochet hook.  

CROCHETED PILLOW TOP -  (500 yard) ball each of orange and black crochet and knitting cotton and a No. 6 steel crochet hook.
