Crocheted Scarfs:  This pattern contains directions for making a crocheted scarf made of either No. 30 cotton or string. This lovely, lacy scarf can be made any desired length. 

This is a Mail Order Design Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7434 in 1946. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:  No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook or Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   The small scarf requires approximately 350 yards of No. 30 cotton or 525 yards of heavy cotton.  The medium size scarf requires approximately 450 yards of No. 30 cotton or 670 yards of heavy cotton.  The large scarf requires approximately 550 yards of No. 30 cotton or 800 yards of heavy cotton.
