Description

Crochet Shasta Daisy Medallion: These two crocheted medallions can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The medallions can be joined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.  Crochet the large medallions at 5-1/2 or 4 inches and the small fill medallion at 1-3/4 or 1-3/8 inches in diameter. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6449 in 1939.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook. Each large medallion requires approximately 34 yards of heavy cotton, or 20 yards of fine cotton; each small medallion requires approximately 4 yards of heavy cotton or 2-1/2 yards of fine cotton.
