Crochet Shell Baby Set Pattern, Mail Order Design 7318

Crocheted Baby Set:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the set pictured.    This design, worked in lacy shell stitch, includes a jacket, bonnet and booties ... all with ribbon ties and absolutely frilly enough to suit any baby girl.   The set, crocheted in either Nylon or Baby Yarn, is sized Infant to Six Months. 

This is Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7318 in 1952.   It was a very popular pattern, with the same advertisement appearing every couple years between 1952 and 1983.   The pattern was included in the Alice Brooks 1953 Designs Catalog, the Needlecraft Patterns 1970 Catalog as well as the Needlecrafts Patterns 1985 Catalog.
