Crochet Shell Shaped Doilies, American Weekly 3122

Crocheted Doilies:  This pattern contains directions for two shell shaped doilies worked in either fine or heavy cotton. They can be combined to form luncheon or buffet set or chair sets. Make mats for luncheon set each in a different color.   These doilies can be made in small and large sizes ranging between 9 x 11 inches to 18 x 22 inches, depending upon materials used.

This is a mail order pattern, ordered through newspapers and magazines. This particular pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 7224 in 1951.  "New Fashion, set your table with Shell shaped doilies. Extra handsome if they are each in a different color. Also, you can use them as a chair set."
