Description

Crocheted Snood:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the accessory set pictured.  First is a loose fitting snood with crocheted ties at of head.  This is paired with a handbag crocheted in all-over shell stitch, with zipper closure and chain necklace(s) for handles.  The size of the lined handbag is not stated.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5221 in 1965.   It was included in the Anne Cabot 1969 Needlework Magazine.  

Materials for Snood:   Bernat Venetian (1 oz. skeins), 100% virgin wool: 2 Skeins in White or color desired;   3/4 yd, of 1" wide grosgrain ribbon;   1 Small clip-on Bow if desired;   Aluminum Crochet Hook I 

Materials for Handbag:  Bernat Venetian (1 oz. skeins), 100% virgin wool: 5 skeins in White;   3/4 yd. of lining material; 3/4 yd, of stiff Buckram; 10-inch zipper; 2 metal necklace chains for handle in length desired;   Aluminum Crochet Hook I
