Crochet Snowflake Doily Pattern Needlework Bureau 1521

The Snowflake Centerpiece:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily shown.  This vintage (1940) pattern was designed to resemble a snowflake, with a crystal center and icy medallion border.  It's centerpiece in size at 22 inches in diameter.   Note:  This pattern was published in all caps; I have left it that way in the PDF. 

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau as No 1521.  The newspaper description:  "It appears like one large snowflake covered by many little ones. This unusual crocheted centerpiece is extremely simple to make. It measures 22 inches in diameter".

Materials:  

• Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Size 20, (7 - 125 yard balls)
• Steel Crochet Hook Size 10 or 11
