Crochet Square, Dogwood Motif Design 816

Crocheted Dogwood Square:   This crocheted square can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and chair sets.  The finished square may measure 3 or 4-1/2 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 816 in 1958.  The pattern was also marketed under the Alice Brooks brand. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   Each square requires approximately 21 yards of heavy cotton or 15 yards of fine cotton.
