Description
Crocheted Tablecloth: This table cloth can either be made of two strands of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton worked together, or of a single strand of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Crochet Cotton. The weight of the cotton governs the size of the cloth. Directions are given telling where to end off to make three sizes in each material. The cloth may be crocheted at 58 or 40 inches, or a centerpiece doily at 26 inches.
This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6084 in 1939. It was also released as Alice Brooks 6084 in the same year.
MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: A 58 inch cloth requires 6 (500 yard) skeins, a 40 inch cloth requires 4 skeins; a 30 inch cloth requires 3 skeins of unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 1 steel crochet hook.
