Crochet Star Luncheon Set Design X-419

Crocheted Doilies:    This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily luncheon set pictured.  The directions detail the large doily, with decreasing instructions for the medium and small.   The actual sizes are not stated, but I'd think in the 11, 7 and 4 inch sizes. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Design X-419 by Needlework Bureau between 1940 and 1942.  Each year was represented by a different advertising cover picture.

Materials:  3 hanks - 700 yards each - mercerized crochet cotton; 1 steel crochet hook No 7
