Crochet Star Motif Pattern Design 6800

Crocheted Star Medallion:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the medallion pictured.  Depending upon materials used, the star medallion may be crocheted at 6 or 4-1/2 inches diagonally from point to point.  Join the medallions to form tablecloths, scarfs, etc.  

This is a Mail Order Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks Design 6800 in 1940.  The pattern was later released under The American Weekly brand as well.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 9 steel crochet hook;   OR No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.    Each medallion requires approximately 32 yards of heavy cotton or 25 yards- of fine cotton.
