Crochet Star Square Pattern Design 7180

Crocheted Square:   This crocheted medallion can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and other household articles.  Squares measure 3-1/2 inches.   Join to form cloths, spreads, runners. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7180.   The newspaper description:  "You'll win prizes with this quick crochet medallion. It lends itself to both fine cotton and string. Make small articles or plan a bedspread or tablecloth - an heirloom!"   This pattern is included in a blog post at "Bits of History".
