Crochet Tablecloth Medallion Alice Brooks 6406

Crocheted Medallion Pattern:  This crocheted medallion can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.   This pretty medallion may be crocheted at 5 or 8 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6406 in 1939.   The newspaper description:  "Here's your chance to make many lovely accessories for your home and do it easily and inexpensively! This quickly memorized medallion, when repeated and joined, forms a scarf or cloth of exquisite loveliness"

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   Each medallion requires approximately 75 yards of heavy cotton, or 35 yards of fine cotton.
