Crochet Three Way Hat Pattern Design R2778

Crochet Three Way Hat:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the hat pictured.  This design is called a "three way hat' for it's versatality.  The hat, combined with a scarf, can be worn tied under the neck, wrapped around the neck, or wrapped upwards to create a turban effect.   This is an easy beginner design worked in knitting worsted.   

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts R-2778 in 1949 and 1950.  And then under the Anne Cabot brand between 1950 and 1953.  

MATERIALS:   Knitting Worsted; 5 ounces of Pearl Grey;   Plastic Crochet Hook Size 9;  1/2 yard of millinery wire.
