Crochet Top, Popcorn Stripes Design 7591

Crocheted Top:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the top pictured.   Here we have a casual pullover top with v-neck and hip-length band with slightly extended shoulders.  The design is trimmed with popcorn stripes in mohair of a contrast color.   It is sized 10-12 and 14-16. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7591.  The newspaper description:  "Something different in crochet - this lacy pattern, reminiscent of the carved ivory fans which once graced our ballrooms. Even a beginner can crochet it and of inexpensive cotton too. Let the set lend elegance to the rich upholstery it protects".
