Description

Crochet Rug Pattern:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the rug pictured (and more).   This is a VERY easy pattern; crochet a simple triangle motif and join in a variety of ways with a border all the way around.  A diagram for suggested designs motifs is included.    This is a classic rag rug -- heavy rug yarn, stockings, underwear, etc.   Actual size is not stated.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  This pattern was marketed by Needle Bureau No 451.

Materials:  Use RUG YARN, COTTON or WOOL RAGS, KNIT UNDERWEAR or STOCKINGS cut in strips.  EACH TRIANGLE required about 1 skein of RUG YARN; choose the arrangement you wish, and buy 1 skein for each triangle--there will be enough left over to work around edge. Note: The original model was made in brown, tan and yellow; a similar group of colors, or 3 shades of any color you wish may be used.
