Crochet Tulip Centerpiece Doily Pattern No 2072

Crochet Tulip Centerpiece:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily pictured.  A large star (perhaps) center surrounded by a tulip border.   This is a large doily, at 34 inches in diameter.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts 2072 (Needlework Bureau) in 1951.  

Materials:  1 Ball of Bedspread Cotton in white or cream;   1 Ball of Bedspread Cotton in each of the following colors: shaded yellow, shaded pink, shaded lavender and medium green;   Steel Crochet Hook 9 (Standard Size).   For a dainty doily use No. 30 Crochet Thread and No. 12 Hook.
