Crochet Tulip Doily Pattern, Alice Brooks 7204

Crocheted Doilies:  This pattern contains directions for two matching crocheted doilies worked in a picot mesh with a tulip border. Use either fine or heavy cotton.   Crochet these doilies in three sizes each of round and oval shapes.   The oval doilies are 14 x 20, 16 x 24 or 20 x 29 inches and the round doilies are 11, 13 or 18 inches in diameter. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7204 in 1953.  The newspaper description:  "Have tulip bouquets at every place next luncheon you give - you'll get compliments galore. Plain picot mesh doilies to be done in fine or heavy cotton".
