Vintage 1938 - this little bag was playfully billed as a "spiderweb wristlet" based in its stitched shapes.  Thus the little spider ornament pictured.  

Description

The Spider Web : This pattern contains directions to crochet the bag pictured. The bag, a wristlet in style, has a 6 inch zip opening and employs single crochet, double crochet, and bead stitch throughout. It's not quite circular, not quite octagonal, but it is cute. The bag is lined and has a small wrist strap. The bag is worked using Gimp Cord. The design is vintage 1938.

Materials:  4 tubes Raphael Brand Gimp ( Research indicates DMC Cabelia No 10 as a substitute)   Lining;   6" Slide Fastener;   Spider Pin
