Crocheted Cardigan Shell Pattern Design 872

Design 872 : This pattern contains directions to crochet the set shown. The set is a twin sweater set (shell and cardigan) in an easy pattern stitch made in Fingering Yarn. The sleeveless shell has a lower rounded neckline and is below waist length. The corresponding cardigan, with long cuffed sleeves and front 6 button band, is below hip length. The set is misses sized Small (8-10), Medium (12-14) and Large (16-18).

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 872.  The newspaper description:  "This Spring, it's the twin sweater set above all! Long cardigan tops off sleeveless scooped shell. Crochet of 3-ply fingering yarn in shell stitch plus single double crochet".
