Description

Crocheted Afghan : This pattern gives directions for a crocheted afghan worked in flower motif squares and joined together. The afghan is made of Knitting Worsted. If desired, scraps of Knitting Worsted can be used for this cozy afghan. The completed afghan will measure 45 x 66 inches and the matching pillow is 13 1/2 x 13 1/2.
 
This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7120.  The newspaper description:  "Display this grand afghan on a sofa or brighten a bed. Be a magician - turn scraps into a field of flowers for this cozy afghan. You can watch TV while you crochet 3-1/2 inch medallions!" 
 
Each square (3-1/2 inches) takes about 6 yards of bright color for flower; 5 yards of main (background) color.
