Crocheted Lace Prelude Doily Pattern

Prelude No 7256 :  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily pictured.  This delightful design, vintage 1940's, is round upon round of surprises, resulting in a large doily that measures 18 inches in diameter.   

 MATERIALS: For best results use-CLARK'S O.N.T. OR J. & P. COATS BEST SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Size 30:  

• SMALL BALL : CLARK'S 0. N.T.- 2 balls of White or Ecru, or 3 balls of any color. OR J. & P. COATS- 2 balls of White, Ecru, or any color. 
• BIG BALL: CLARK'S O.N.T.-1 ball of White or Ecru. OR J. & P. COATS-1 ball of White, Ecru, or any color.  
• MILWARD'S steel crochet hook No. 10 or 11.
