Crocheted Mardi Gras Afghan Pattern

Mardi Gras : This pattern contains directions to crochet the afghan shown. Coats and Clarks officially named this design Mardi Gras, vintage 1952. I struggled for a moment or two as to the relationship, then got it. The purple balls with bits of green would, most likely, represent Mardi Gras beads. That's my best guess, anyway. This is a block motif afghan. Each block is 4 3/4 inches square. When joined, they form the crocheted afghan or throw that measures 48 x 67 inches.

E.265: 16 skeins (1 oz “Tangle Proof”Pull-Out Skeins) of No 1 White; 10 skeins of No 789 Bittersweet, and
• CHADWICK'S RED HEART ORLON "FASHION.GLO," 3 Ply, Art. E.265-M: 6 skeins (1 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins)· of No. M.676 Emerald.
