Crocheted Pansy Insertion Scarf Pattern Design 2708

Bedroom Accessories : This pattern contains directions for crochet the pansies shown. These sweet pansies and leaves are crocheted in blues, yellows and greens and are added to scarves and/or other accessories as desired. The original pattern also contained embroidery transfers. The transfers are not (obviously) included in a PDF pattern, however, a diagram and color chart is intact.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts (Needlework Bureau) R-2708.   The newspaper description:  "These delight crocheted pansies and embroidered mimosa combine beautifully to create a distinctive runner and table mat. Measuring 15 inches wide, the runner may be as long as you wish. The table mat is 15 inches square. This pair will give the bedroom the perfect finishing touch". 

Materials:   Small Balls (100 yds each) Mercerized Crochet Cotton No. 30 in each of the following amounts and colors: 4 each of white and light blue; 2 of yellow; 6 of light green, 7 of dark blue;   Steel Crochet Hook No. 8 (Standard Size);   Six-Strand Embroidery Floss in yellow and dark green;   White, light blue, light green or pale yellow linen or cotton for scarves, (1 ½ yds 35" wide will make 1 scarf 54" long, 1 scarf 36" long and 1 table square).
