Crocheted Pineapple Square, Alice Brooks 7488

Crocheted Square:  This pattern contains directions for making a pineapple crocheted square. The square can be made either of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.   The square may be crocheted at 6 or 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7488 in 1943.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook;   OR unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No, 8 steel crochet hook.   Each square requires approximately 79 yards of fine cotton or 145 yards of heavy cotton.
