Description

Crocheted Square: This pattern contains directions for crocheting pineapple squares in No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. After all the squares have been completed, they are joined together to form cloths, bedspreads, scarfs and pillows. Depending upon materials used, the individual squares may be crocheted at 8 or 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 726 in 1967.   

Materials Requirements:  No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook or Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 8 steel crochet hook. Each square requires approximately 100 yards of fine cotton or 140 yards of heavy cotton.
