Description

Crocheted Square: This crocheted square worked in the pineapple design can be made either of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and other household articles.  The square may be created at 7-1/2 or 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7174 in 1966.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:  No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook; or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   Each square requires approximately 110 yards of fine cotton or 165 yards of heavy cotton.
