Crocheted Popcorn Diamond Bedspread Pattern No 550

Popcorn Diamond : This pattern contains directions to make the crocheted bedspread pictured. Another block motif design, this one boldly features the popcorn stitch that forms a triangle design that creates a changing diamond image depending upon the angle viewed -- almost geometric, you might say. The hexagon shaped crocheted motifs are 9 1/4 inches from point to point, through the center. Make 127 hexagons to form the bedspread, then finish with fringe on the three edge sides. A chart is included for block layout. This crochet bedspread pattern is vintage 1940s from Bucilla.

• Bucilla Wondersheen (mercerized) Cotton, Article 3666, 24 skeins, or Bucilla Blue Label (delustered) Cotton, Article
• 3457, 21 skeins.
• 1 Bucilla "Featherlite" Steel Crochet Hook, Size 3, Article 4500.
