Description

Crocheted Bathroom Set:  An attractive Set for the bathroom is made with string crocheted over strips of old silk stockings or silk underwear. The mat measures approximately 20" x 36" the seat cover 13-1/2" x 15' and the stool cover about 13" in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements. The pattern was marketed as No 861 by Needle Arts Dept in 1945.   The newspaper description: "An effective and inexpensive three piece bathroom set is crocheted of carpet warp and discarded hoisery".
