Crocheted Toque Hats Pattern Mail Order Design 734

Design 734: This pattern contains directions for two crocheted hats done in very simple crochet using two strands of mercerized cotton and covered with fine net, woven through the crochet stitches forming a honeycomb design. First style is trimmed, if desired, with contrasting or matching commercial flowers covering top section; the other with self-material rosette. Hats can be made either small or large to fit all head sizes.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 724.  The newspaper description:  "Make all eyes turn your way - crochet these pretty hats for all year 'round wear. Cloud spun hats - a flattering effect, created by veiling threaded through treble crochet".
