Description

Crocheted Chair Set : This filet crocheted chair set, made of unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a filet chart for the chair back and the arm rest. Worked in an attractive daffodil flowers, in a pot, design, the chair back will measure 15 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 6 x 12 inches each.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1957 in 1939.  The newspaper description:  "Crocheted in string, this chair set works up quickly. You can use the design for buffet or scarf ends too!"

Materials:

  • Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins (2 skeins of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends.)
  • No. 7 steel crochet hook.

GAUGE: 4 spaces = 1 inch; 4 rows = 1 inch.
