Description

Dahlia Medallions: These two crocheted medallions can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The medallions can be joined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows. The large medallion can measure 7 or 5 inches and the small medallions 2-3/4 or 2 inches in diameter. Layout charts and diagrams are included.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6394.   

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.   Each large medallion requires approximately 54 yards of heavy cotton or 39 yards of fine cotton; each small medallion requires approximately 9 yards of heavy cotton or 6 yards of fine cotton.
