Dainty Pineapple Centerpiece Doily Crochet Pattern, Design 2247

Dainty Pineapple Centerpiece : This pattern contains directions for crocheting the doily pictured. A splendid masterpiece of a round doily; it both starts and ends with pineapples. About 800 yards #20 Crochet Cotton; 410 steel crochet hook. This will make a centerpiece approximately 26" in diameter. For a larger one, use mercerized bedspread cotton and #8 hook. For a smaller lacy one, use #30 crochet cotton and #12 crochet hook.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and magazines.  This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot No 2247 in 1955.  "You'll enjoy crocheting this exquisite centerpiece, and using it when you see the radiant glow it gives to any tabletop it may adorn".  The pattern was featured in the Anne Cabot 1955 Needlework Album.
