Daisy Linen Crochet Pattern, Luncheon Set 4755

Luncheon Set No P.C. 4755 : This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily border pictured. This design, vintage 1940's, from Spool Cotton Co., appeared as a special mail away feature in the 1948 issue of Ladies Home Journal. It also appeared in Spool Cotton Book 147. This pretty daisy border is worked as individual motifs and then applied to cut linen to form the place mat, bread and butter doily, as well as glass mat and napkin.

Materials:

• J. & P. COATS or CLARK'S O.N.T. BEST SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Size 50, (Small Ball). 4 balls of White.
• Steel Crochet Hook No. 12.
• 1 yard of yellow linen (this amount is sufficient for 2 settings).
