Filet Crochet Chair Set : This pattern gives directions to create the chair set pictured. This vintage design features a pair of prancing Horses on the chair back and a bare tree on the arm rests. "This filet crochet chair set, made of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a filet chart for the chair back and the arm rest". The chair back will measure 12 1/2 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 6 1/4 x 12 1/2 inches.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 728 in 1957.  The pattern was also marketed under the Alice Brooks and The American Weekly brand names.   I've written a blog post about 'Same pattern, different numbers', should you care to read.
