Design 685 Crocheted Oval Pinwheel Doily Pattern

Crocheted Doily :   This pattern contains directions for a crocheted oval doily in a pinwheel design. Either fine or heavy cotton may be used; in white or a pastel color.  Crochet this design at 12 x 22, 13 x 24 or 17 x 33 inches.   

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 684 in 1957.  The newspaper description:  "Done in Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, this doily is a decoration fitted to so many places. It is suitable in a modern or traditional setting".   The pattern was included in the 1962 Needlecraft Pattern Catalog.
