Dutch Girl Boy Crochet Potholder Pattern 2081

Dutch Girl Panholders: This pattern contains directions to crochet the potholders pictured. The picture on this pattern page is poor, however, the vintage design is just to cute to let it deteriorate out of existence. Here we have a Dutch girl and boy panholder set, both fully dressed in traditional dutch clothing. They are worked in Mercerized Crochet Cotton in four colors. Based on paper/print, pattern is estimated as late 1940s; there are no other markers.

Materials (for each) you will need approximately the following amounts of mercerized, stringweight thread: 76 yards white, 60 yards bright blue, 13 yards red, 15 yards yellow, and 8 yards dark blue. Use No. 4 steel hook and work quite closely, about 6 scs to 1".
