Easy Checkerboard Block Bedspread Crochet Pattern

Prince Charming:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the bedspread shown.  This is a super easy pattern, perfect for the beginner.  It is made up of block motifs which are layed out in opposing directions to give a nice textural effect, and then finished with a wide border.  Each square measures about 4 inches; 532 squares 19 x 28 are required for a spread measuring about 80 x 116 inches with border. 

Materials: 

• - AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DE LUXE" CROCHET AND KNITTING COTTON,ARTICLE 346 OR "PURITAN" BEDSPREAD COTTON, ARTICLE 40
• - 42-250yd. Balls ecru.
• - 63-175yd. Balls Green or any Contrasting Color.
• - Steel Crochet Hook No. 10.
