Crochet Hat and Bag : This pattern contains directions for crocheting the accessories pictured. Both accessories are easy to crochet pieces in star stitch. The handbag is worked in one piece and then folded over, lined, stitch up the sides, add the zipper and bow. The Hat is a quite simple banded calot design with plenty of ribbon adornment from 1942.

Materials:   J. & P. COATS KNIT-CRO-SHEEN, 2 balls of Ecru and 3 balls of Beige;   Milward's Casein Crochet Hook No. 5 or Milward's Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero);   1 Crown Zipper. Style F. 55, 16-inch length, to match lining;   3-1/4 yds. grosgrain ribbon 3 inches wide, to match lining;   1/2 yd. lining material;   10 inches of round elastic.

GAUGE: 4 star stitches make 1 inch; 3 rows make 2 inches.
