Easy Crochet Capelet, Shell Stitch No 2661

Crocheted Capelet:  This pattern contains directions to crochet the capelet pictured.  This is an easy pattern, worked in shell and v-stitch using 4 colors of Knitting Worsted with contrast bands.  The pattern is one size, designed to fit those between sizes 8 - 16.  A soft capelet in easy crochet is ideal to wear on chilly days or evenings, or when air-conditioning is just too much!

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was first marketed as Anne Cabot 2661 in 1975 and again later in 1983.   An interesting note is this pattern was distributed to three states only - OK, FL, and TX.   

MATERIALS: COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" 4-Ply KNITTING WORSTED ("Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 12 ounces of Rust; l ounce each of Orange, Dark Camel and Wood crown;   NEEDLE: Crochet Hook, Size H.
