Easy Crochet Pillbox Pattern with Snood

Snooded Pillbox:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the hat pictured.   Here is a combination of the classic pillbox - short with a flat time - with an added attraction for those with longer hair of a mesh snood.  And then, to add just a bit more interest, an interesting closed loop ornament on the side - optional of course.   The pattern is sized for a medium head.  

MATERIALS: 

• Fleisher's, Bear Brand or Bucilla Angel Crepe, 3 balls. 
• CROCHET HOOK-1 Fleisher's or Bucilla Steel, Size 2.
• TRIMMINGS-22 inches Buckram, 4 inches wide. 14 inches round Elastic.  

 GAUGE: 17 sc =2 inches ; 9 rounds =1 inch
