Easy Crocheted Handbag Purse with Shoulder Strap

Crocheted Bag : This pattern contains directions to crochet the bag pictured. This is a very simple bag worked in single crochet with two strands of rug yarn. The base is formed around a 6 inch embroidery hood and straight up, forming from an back. It is looped with a thick crocheted cord for a shoulder strap, or tie off in a knot for a standard handle. The pattern is vintage 1951.

Materials:   Minerva Sparkletone Rug Yarn, 6 2-oz. skeins.   (50% Rayon, 50% Wool in 2 oz skeins);   One 6" round embroidery hoop;   1 "Boye" non-inflammable crochet hook "H" (size 6).
