Billed as a shell, but more likely called a tunic in todays' fashion.  An easy project in heavy rug yarn.

Description

A Belle's Shell :  This pattern contains directions to crochet the shell pictured.   A cute top; perfect as a super long vest or tunic to wear over a shirt, or bear it for summer as a sleeveless shell.   It has a scoop neck, below hip length.  And, did you notice those pompons at the hemline ?   This vintage 1960s pattern is misses size Small, Medium and Large. 

Materials: AMERICAN THREAD "AUNT LYDIA'S"HEAVY RUG YARN 8(9,10)-70 yd. skeins Chartreuse;   Aluminum Crochet Hook Size K 

Gauge: 3 sts=1 inch
