Easy Round Knitted Rug with Leaf Border Mail Order 7160

Knitted Rug : This pattern contains directions for an attractive round rug made of Knitting Worsted and Cotton. It is worked in stockinette stitch with a pretty leaf border. The rug, knitted in six pie shaped panels, are joined together to form a rug that measures 58 inches in diameter.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7160.  The newspaper description:  "Make a room cozy with a luxurious, easy knit rug. Knit dramatic round rug with raised leaf border in six sections on two needles, two strands knitting worsted plus one strand cotton. Very easy!".   The pattern was included in the 1973 Needlecraft Patterns Catalog.
