Elegant Bed Jacket Knitting Pattern

Knitted Jacket : This pattern contains directions to knit the garment pictured, The design, 1950's from Bernat, is billed as a bed jacket, however, in current times would serve as a lovely blouse, with yoke, with skirt or slacks as well. The jacket with long cuffed sleeves, has a shawl collar all the way to the waist, where there is a button closure. Satin ribbon is worked through the edge of the collar, giving a sophisticated touch of elegance. The pattern is sized for misses 12 to 18. Instructions are written for a size 12, with changes for sizes 14, 16 and 18 in parentheses.

Materials:

• BERNAT Nylo Baby (1 oz. pull skeins) — 9 (9-10-10)
• 1 pair each straight knitting needles Nos. 0 and 2
• 1 circular needle No. 0
• 4 buttons
• 2 yds. 1/4-inch satin ribbon

GAUGE:

• 8 sts = 1 inch12 rows = 1 inch on No. 2 needles
• 9 sts = 1 inch15 rows 1 inch on No. 0 needles
