Elegant Jacket Skirt Suit Knitting Pattern

Winter White : This pattern contains instructions to knit, crochet detail, the outfit shown. The pattern includes both a jacket and a skirt. The jacket is a simple, yet elegant piece. It has straight lines, a light gather at the waist, three quarter length sleeves and hip length. The edges are trimmed with coordinated band of skirt (or your choice) color. The skirt is a straight pull-on with an elasticized waist, knit to a length of your choice. The pattern is sized 10 to 16. The directions are written for size 14, which changes for 10, 12 and 16 shown in parentheses. This pattern is vintage 1949 from Modern Knitting.

Materials:

• Botany Dress Yarn 8 (8-8-9) 2-oz skeins white for jacket & 8 (8, 8, 9) 2-oz skeins for skirt.
• No 2 Susan Bates circular needle.
• No 6 steel crochet hook
• 1 tapestry needle

Gauge: 9 sts = 1”, 11 rows = 1”
