Fanfare Dress No 2216 : This pattern has instructions to knit, crochet detail, the dress shown. And, what an incredible dress it is ! The official 1950 description -- "Fanfare dress has its points – and they are many. Foremost, the fan-like collar, carrying out in its fluting the interesting detail that points up midriff and push-up sleeves. Choose a big-nub yarn, light it up with gold buttons, gold crocheted belt and wear it anywhere.

SIZES 12, 16, 20 : Instructions are for size 12. Changes for sizes 16 and 20 are in parentheses.

Materials:

• Bear Brand or Bucilla Caprice, 27 (28-31) 1-oz. skeins.
• Bucilla Metal Twist, Non-tarnish Metal Thread, 2 tubes.
• Bucilla circular steel knitting needle No. 2.
• Bucilla Featherlite aluminum knitting needles No. 2 (standard). English size, 11.
• Steel crochet hooks Nos. 4 and 0.

Gauge: 8 sts=1" ; 23 rows=2".
